Reflect Daily To Enhance Lifelong Learning

We sometimes hear educators say “I teach children to become lifelong learners” but what does this look like? I wonder what responses children would provide if asked the question “What does lifelong learning mean to you and how do you make it happen?”…I am going to ask this question to random students today as I am curious.

The concept of “learning” or even the word sometimes suggests too much work for students…even worse…if they have only been exposed to textbooks and tests it is not surprising they would think this way. If we challenge our students to reflect and encourage them to share in a fashion that makes sense to them we can then bridge the meaning of “lifelong learning” to the path of their journey!
